Trip to Idaho Falls

On the 16th we got ready to head to Idaho Falls to see family. Brayden had not ever been to Idaho Falls and it has been a really long time since I was able to visit. Both Kira and Brayden got new car seats and we had to spend some time getting them in the car. Kira's seat is so cute with all the flowers.

We took a few pictures before we left. Brayden was all smiles, and he kept the happy attitude. He traveled really well both ways, which was a relief.
We stayed with my cousin Holly and her family. On Monday my Aunt Kathy had us over to her house for pizza. She invited all our aunts and cousins on my mom's side of the family. It was so good to see how grown up all the little ones were getting.
Tuesday we spent the afternoon at my Grandma Leonora's house. She put together a wonderful lunch and it was so nice to visit and just be relaxed. She had some fun toys that the kids played with.
Brayden had fun exploring some new territory. It never takes him long to start exploring.
My Aunt Nita and cousin Megan stopped by to say hello. It was really great to see them, and catch up with them.I loved this picture, it reminds me of a similar picture taken about 30 years ago...with me and my cousin sitting on Grandma Leonora's lap.Later that afternoon we stopped by Grandma Yvonne's house. It was so nice to see her. I love talking with her, she has the best stories. She has had so many experiences in her life, and no matter how hard they have been she has the best attitude. It never takes her long to have the room laughing.

We ended our evening and trip by attending our cousins Ashley, Blake, and Conrad's road show. They had the best show...it was so funny and original. We liked it so much that we became their groupies and traveled to the other church building to watch it for a second time.

Hailey and Kira visited us in Boise

Hailey and Kira were able to come to Boise to see us. It was so fun for the kids to play and interact with each other. Kira is getting so big and changes everytime we see her.Kira joined Brayden at the window.

Visiting Boise in March

On the 4th of March Brayden and I headed back to Boise. I went back to help with a cheer and dance competition. Brayden had a great time with everyone, especially Grandpa Greg. They became buddies real quick. Brayden spent a lot of time looking out the window, watching Grandpa work in the barn. We also were able to see a lot of friends and family. While we were there one of my Dad's horses had her baby. This is the newest horse in the herd. He is so cute, he was several weeks early. You can see how crooked his legs are, they straighten out over time. We would head out to the barn to see the baby, Brayden was able to pet him.
So cute! You can see how little he is when he is standing next to his mom.

While we were there we also attended several basketball games, which Brayden enjoyed.

Playing at the park

Saturday was some great weather and Jared was able to be home for a little bit. He was very excited to take Brayden down to the playground in our apartment complex. Brayden loves being outside and exploring all the new things. Brayden liked going down the slide.

So happy to be outside. You can see his hair is getting so long. I want to wait until we go to Utah to have Aunt Lisa give him a trim, but his hair covers his eyes half the time so I don't know if we will make it that long.
He was fascinated by all there was to see and explore and, of course, put in his mouth.
Brayden is still pointing at everything, he really couldn't get enough.
So in true Colorado form Saturday we were outside have a blast in 75 degree weather and Sunday we woke up to a Blizzard and 25 degree weather. We were awakened by a phone call letting us know that church had been cancelled because of the storm.This is our front door and it is protected by the walkway. Our door was covered with snow.
It was really windy, you can see we had our own mini drift on our balcony.
