Natalie turns 31
The day was very typical, Brayden and I just hung out. Jared changed that when he got home. He had me go into the bedroom while he got my party ready. Him and Brayden put candles in the cake, signed cards, and put the flowers in a vase. We had a great little party. This was the card that Brayden got me. Jared tried to have him sign it, but instead Brayden held the card and Jared held the marker. There was a very cool design!

Sunday Snooze
Most people konw that Sunday afternoon is the best time to take a nap. We had been to church earlier that day so it was nap time. Brayden had fun napping with Grandpa, daddy would have been joining them if he wasn't at work.
They look so comfortable on the couch, I wish there was room for me.
Even Kira was getting some sleep.

Colorado vs Kansas
Colorado played Kansas who was ranked 15th and hadn't lost this season. It came down to the end and we weren't able to pull off the win. CU lost 14-19.
Brayden had a good nap during the first half so he was ready to cheer during the second half.
Kira did great at the game. She was so cute in her black outfit to show her CU spirit.
Grandpa, Grandma, and Libby were in the seats before the game started. You can see Ralphie getting ready to run. The building in the background is the Dal Ward building which is where Jared works.
It was nice to have some help at the game. I still wasn't able to see the game, but more than usual.

Buff Stampede
After watching Ralphie run we headed down to Pearl Street to watch the Buff Stampede. We had to bundle up, it is really started to get cold.
The buff stampede is on Pearl Street and the players and band parade down to the end of the street. Here we are watching the parade.
After the parade we ate at The Cheesecake Factory. We had a wait outside for, Kira was able to take a little nap. It gave us a chance to people watch some of the different people.

Run Ralphie Run
Friday night we were able to go see Ralphie practice for the game. Ralphie is the University of Colorado's mascot, a real live buffalo. Ralphie leads the team out onto the field, it is pretty awesome to see this huge animal run. Ralphie practices Friday night before the game. We were able to take a couple of pictures before she ran. 
I don't think Kira or Brayden really cared that they were feet away from a buffalo.
There are several people that take care of Ralphie. They are known as Ralphie Handlers. We watched them get ready to run Ralphie.
Being a Ralphie Handler is a serious job, they have to run so fast to keep up with Ralphie. They even train in the weight room to be ready for the job.
This isn't the best picture, but I love Kira in the background. I think she is praying that Ralphie doesn't get loose.
We had a lot of fun watching Ralphie run. Saturday at the game Ralphie almost ran over an equipment guy...it was kinda scary.

Picnic in the Park
Today we drove to a few fun spots in the area; Eldorado Springs, NCAR, and we went to a park at the base of the canyon. It was a really pretty day to have a picnic in the park.

Denver
On Wednesday we picked Libby up at the airport and headed to the Denver Temple. 
Mom, Hailey, and Kira met us at the Temple, Libby was excited to see Kira. She is so cute in her pink coat and hat.
After seeing the Temple we drove around Denver for awhile. We visited the Capitol and had lunch on the steps.
This is looking away from the Capitol, that building in the background is the courthouse. This area reminded us of the Capitol Mall in Washington, D.C.
We then went down to LODO (Lower Downtown) it was so windy that we didn't stay very long.

It had been a long day and I think that the kids were glad to be home for the evening. We spent the evening at home and you can see the kids just hanging out on the couch.
