Boating at Black Canyon

We spent most of the day packing the house and putting all the boxes in the moving truck. It was a hard day to actual take all of our things out of the house. After a long day we have a lot of fun boating at Black Canyon. Cale and Hailey had a boat that we took to the lake. Jared had a great time in the water. The babies both fell asleep in the car on our way up to the lake. Brayden had a good time getting some fresh air.
The kids had fun laying by each other. Kira is almost as big as Brayden.
Brayden was worn out and cuddled up to daddy and fell asleep. So peaceful!
Kira, on the other hand was ready to go.
Cousin Holly was driving through town and stopped by to see us for a little bit.

Moving to Colorado

Our house finally sold. We love our house and the move is very bitter sweet, but it was a relief to have the house sold. It took us two days just to load the truck, but everything made it to Colorado in one piece.

Brayden is 3 months

Brayden has had a very busy month. He received his blessing at the beginning of the month and had a lot of family here for the occasion. He is sleeping threw the night, he wakes up around 5 or 6 to eat and then he goes back to sleep until about 9. He takes 3 or 4 naps a day and is eating every 3 hours. He weights 13 pounds and is 23 1/2 inches long. Brayden saw his first horse race when G.I. Speed ran and won at Les Bois Park in Boise. He endured a long car ride from Boise to Colorado to our new home. We spent a lot of time driving around and getting to know the area. Brayden didn't care for those drives because he didn't like his car seat at all.
He is smiling all the time, almost on cue. He also loves to Mmmm with daddy a lot. Sometime he Mmmms for 20 minutes nonstop.
We spent a good part of the month staying at our friends the Riddle's house. Brayden made friends with Kayleigh and Connor while we stayed there.

Wednesday Night Drives

It has become a Wednesday night tradition. We have been lucky to have Barry Wester working in Denver for the past several weeks. Barry has shown us around the area and let us know of some fun spots to go. This is up Eldorado Springs where a lot of people climb. There is also a pool that we can swim in the summer. This is up at NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research). This is great view of the area, and there are some good hikes up the mountain.

There are hard to see, but there were some deer in the field on our way down.

Superman

Brayden loves it when daddy does Superman with him. He always gives us the best facials when he is flying in the air. He is so excited.
So much fun with daddy.

Brainard Lake

This was one of our first family outings in Colorado. Earlier in the week Barry Wester had shown us how to get up to Brainard Lake. When Satruday rolled around we decided to pack a lunch and go check it out. It took about an hour to get up to the lake. We walked around the entire lake and then had dinner. Brayden loved being outside, he was looking all over the place.
It was a really pretty lake, with the mountains behind it. Next spring we hope to spend some more time up there. Maybe we will be able to take some of the trails.

Brayden really likes his Bjorn, he loves to be able to look all over.
We are almost all the way around the lake, I am sure this is not the last time we are come to Brainard Lake.

Brayden's Blessing

Jared gave Brayden his blessing July 1, 2007 in the Amity Ward. Standing in was Grandpa Greg, Grandpa Jerry, Uncle Cale, Cousin JJ, Brandon Withers and Bishop Lewis. We shared this day with a lot of family. (Mom & Dad, Grandpa Greg, Grandma Chris, Grandpa Jerry, Grandma Sandy, Aunt Libby, Aunt Hailey, Uncle Cale, Kira, Great-Grandma Leonora, Aunt Teresa, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Jason, Aunt Amy, Aunt Melissa, and Cousins Rachel, Madison, Gabe, and Dylan and Gale Wester, Jana and JJ.

We had a BBQ at the Taylor's and everyone came.
Brayden was pretty tired...it was a long day.
